Your one-of-a-kind, bedroom occasional table vignette comprises:
- An upcycled old pub table given a fresh lick of black paint (measures 71 cm tall x 91cm wide x 61cm deep)
- A vintage, framed portrait print of an original painting at the Musée d’Orsay, Paris, dated 1889 and entitled ‘Rousse’ or ‘La Toilette’ by the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (measures 64cm tall x 53cm wide x 2cm projection)
- Two pre-loved, turned wood earring holders (large 21cm tall x 12cm diameter; small 15cm tall x 9cm diameter)
- Two pre-loved, bone, photograph frames; one large and grey (19cm x 24cm photo window), the other smaller and jade green (10.5cm x 9cm photo window)*

Why Do I Need This?
A small side or occasional table in a bedroom or dressing room can be a handy surface for placing and displaying jewellery, fashion accessories or make-up. An empty corner, a blank area of wall or a niche or recess with a nearby electric socket are all good areas to place a bedroom occasional table. Adding a table lamp is always a good idea. It's practical but also creates atmospheric mood lighting, especially decorative fittings such as the one we styled this bedroom interior vignette with. Complete the look with room-appropriate wall art you adore and add a personal touch with family snaps.
Good To Know...
We gave this old pub table (one of a pair we sourced) a fresh lick of black paint to transform it into a chic and useful surface for a bedroom or dressing room. The newly-painted legs are in immaculate condition. The vintage table top has seen its fair share of chats and clinking glasses over time, hence it shows some subtle imperfections and wear (see pictures). In our humble opinion (and we are fussy!), these do not detract from its overall sturdiness, usefulness and attractive silhouette. Moreover, giving vintage furniture a new lease of life means we are also doing our bit for the planet!
We teamed our table with a suitably themed, vintage print of a painting by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec entitled 'Rousse' or 'La Toilette', depicting a red-haired woman seen from behind, just before or after bathing. The colours of the print truly glow. The vintage black frame shows minor signs of wear (see pictures), though these are barely noticeable when hung on the wall. The photograph frames are in excellent pre-loved condition. The vintage, turned-wood jewellery stands have very slight discolouration but are otherwise in great condition. Our painted backdrop is in 'Teresa's Green' by Farrow & Ball, an elegant, calm and restful shade for bedrooms and dressing areas.
