Teen Bedroom Scheme For Boy
A neutral, 'cool' grey teen bedroom scheme for a boy, featuring a sitting area for socialising with friends, gaming, and movie watching, was the brief from my young client for this large upstairs bedroom. His love of animals was also part of the design brief, along with ample storage and a nod to both sporting endeavours and animals on the walls. We opted for a palette of Farrow & Ball 'Blackened', 'School House White' and 'Shadow White' on different walls and a simple, marine blue pinstripe carpet. We brought in lots of vintage furniture pieces as the budget was tight. These also add a little character to the space. No built-ins were requested as this room will eventually lose its dormer roof and be extended, so this was very much just a holding situation - hence the focus on decorating, not renovating or bespoke furniture to work with all the angles.
