Quirky bedroom interior design scheme for rental
A quirky bedroom interior design scheme for a stylish, short let rental property. We redecorated this oak-floored, oak-doored bedroom with a playful combination of traditional motifs in a palette of warm grey neutrals and bold, cobalt blue and monochrome accents. The combined palette of blue and grey balanced the warm tones of the wood and added a note of modernity and playfulness. We included practical storage in the form of a pair of reconditioned single wardrobe/drawer units, a 1950s chest of drawers, and a blanket chest. We also added a slim night table, a shelf with resprayed vintage wrought iron brackets to conceal the radiator and provide additional surface space, and switched tired lighting fittings for confetti glass ball lighting with simple, directional wall lamps for the bedside. A practical, wipeable, plain grey indoor/outdoor rug protects the floor, pinstripe gathered curtains provide privacy, and vintage frames for art and mirrors abound.
