Modern Cottage Style Living Room For Rental

I was tasked with creating a modern cottage-style living room by revamping a tired garden flat with a multi-functional living and dining space available for short-term lets as an additional income stream for my client. Practical and budgetary considerations were key. We focused on hardwearing, stain-resistant, and/or washable fabrics. We sourced selectively from the high street, and re-used or revamped some existing furniture items with a lick of paint or new handles. A selection of vintage and antique items added the soul and helped create the comfortable, country cottage look briefed by my client. While jaunty stripes, contemporary lighting, and a fresh but nature-inspired colour palette introduced more modern touches.
